SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:   Performs Human Resource related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employment, benefits, compensation, training and employee relations.

  • Partnering with employees and management to communicate various Human Resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
  • Responsible for monitoring employee relations, conducting investigations and assisting with disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Pursues community relationships and regularly partners with additional recruiting sources.
  • Assists with orientations and administering compensation and benefit programs.
  • Works closely with local staffing agencies to ensure a sufficient labor force is available to meet manufacturing requirements.
  • Assists with recruiting, screening, and interviewing potential job applicants.
  • Works closely with employees and management to ensure Worker’s Compensation claims are handled correctly and in compliance with Federal and State regulations.
  • Administers Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:  Qualified candidates will possess 1-3 years of direct Human Resource experience or a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal communication skills, be detail and task oriented, possess creative problem solving skills, and be able to comprehend at a rapid pace. We are seeking a team player with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
WORKING CONDITIONS:  Standard office hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm); however, overtime and weekends may be required.
