SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:   Work on site in LaGrange, GA with a small software development team and a small IT operations support team to troubleshoot problems with production applications and processes, and to test software releases. Day to day tasks will include problem solving difficult problems in the business environment. Learn and document how the company’s ERP processes currently work in preparation for an eventual upgrade. (We currently are an AX 2009 shop.)

The person will be asked to serve as back up to Help Desk staff and provide short-term coverage gaps (minutes to hours at a time, or less). The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, to stoop, crouch or crawl.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:   
  • Work daily with in-house business process expert to identify and solve problems
  • Conduct "end-user" acceptance testing of changes to internal business processes
  • Ensure compliance with unit tests
  • Work to prepare company for an ERP upgrade by mapping and managing processes in current ERP and other systems.
  • Participate in and sometimes lead development of small projects as needed
  • Maintains appropriate documentation of applications and business processes.
  • Incident management system administration
  • Systems and software testing

QUALIFICATIONS:  Qualified candidates will possess Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a computer or data related field.  The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal communication skills, be detail and task oriented, possess creative problem solving skills, and be able to comprehend at a rapid pace.  We are seeking a team player with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  No
 
WORKING CONDITIONS:  Standard office hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm); however overtime and weekends may be required.
